Sometimes, working on what might be the biggest thing going on in cloud computing right now isn’t enough to make a job amazing. In the immortal words of Charles Wright, you have to express yourself. Of course, he also said “let the horns do the thing they do, yo…ah, uh, ow! Uh-uh uh uh” so maybe we shouldn’t look too deeply into that. Still, Rackspace places a serious commitment around making sure that Rackers are free to express themselves openly.
Recently Rackers from different support teams got together to paint some giant canvases. The purpose? None. This wasn’t an exercise in company cheerleading or “team synergy” or any of that nonsense. This was just fun. We called the project “Artists Plugged In” and the results were stellar.
If you visit the Castle, in the huge museum that greets you after you walk through the front doors, you’ll find the paintings on display. Their subject matter is as different as the teams that produced them. Hit the video to learn more about the project and see the finished products.
