A Day in the Life of Rackspace

Racker Dave Sims decided to dedicate today to documenting a Day in the Life of Rackspace, and the end result is this amazing video. It’s a great look into a lot of the things that make this such a special place to work.

Among the many things you’ll see are a graduating class of 130 new Rackers, the now-legendary slide and the first ever Wedding at Castle!

  1. I really enjoyed your video the picture quality is excellent and you did a great job capturing all the moments of what was an extraordinary day for us.

  2. I love working at the Rack. But while some outsiders think that the big slide,
    flip flops and taco truck ARE what make us cool, those “things” are really
    just a side effects or outcroppings of what really makes Rackspace special…
    What really makes the Rack special is the PEOPLE and leaders at Rackspace who
    ensure that we all continually pursue:
    * Transparency to customers and other Rackers
    * Servant leadership (within Rackspace)
    * The empowerment of letting Rackers do what …they can to improve Rackspace,
    the customer experience or the world around them.

    With these, and other similar CORE values in place across the company, Rackers
    are free to really make it all a really amazing experience. Something that
    you are touched by whether you’re a Racker, a customer, or a citizen in the
    community who gets a helping hand from an empowered Racker. Life is good. :)

  3. WOW!! and WOW!!! Your video and work environment explodes with such great camaraderie! I congratulate everyone. I wish I worked with you all!
    Everyone seems so happy..as they say a happy employee is a productive employee!
