The Beginning of Fanatical Support

Data Center Picture - RackspaceWe’ve all heard that Rackspace is the home of Fanatical Support®. You can walk through any Rackspace office and see it at work every second of every day. We know that Fanatical Support® ends with the customer experience and a hopeful referral to one of their friends/colleagues; but few of us ever get to see the exact location where it actually begins. That mystery stops today!

Our people have jobs because customers depend on us to deliver a level of service rarely seen in the hosting market. We build a server, give it an IP address, and BOOM – the customer can deliver their content to the entire world. But have you ever given that hardware a face? Believe it or not, servers don’t magically appear out of thin air. We have two Fanatical Rackers that touch each and every piece of hardware that enters our data center in DFW. Meet Margaret Bradberry and Steve Treu.

Margaret and Steve run receiving at DFW, and quite literally touch each piece of hardware the data center receives. They label each drive, server, firewall, load balancer, and all other hardware with an asset tag, and enter everything into our inventory database. The passion for their work and tireless hours they put in weekly truly deliver results. And with the help of the entire inventory management team, our sales team can sell servers, our production team can build servers, and our support teams can service servers.

Fanatical Support® starts with the hard work and dedication of our receiving Rackers at all 10 global data center locations! Without them, Fanatical Support® simply isn’t possible! From sales and support to marketing and training, we owe our jobs to you!
