To celebrate the wrap up of a great July, we un-wrapped a day full of holiday cheer!
Christmas came early this year for the Online Sales Team and was as magical as I could have imagined!
To adequately prepare for the 105 degree day, naturally, we all bundled up in our best and warmest Christmas garb. We came adorned in our tackiest Christmas sweaters, paying homage to our grannies everywhere and simultaneously supporting the local thrift stores. Others couldn’t escape our holiday fever and our cheer quickly spread. If you didn’t see it, my teammate Monica made sure you heard it. She had hand stitched jingle bells onto every square inch of her red and green vest and was transformed into a walking tambourine.
Special guest appearance: Our bosses also bribed STANta ( aka Stan, my boss ) with free hosting for a lifetime to come and make our day complete, and with Rudolph’s Garmin-esque navigation skills, he arrived safely at the Rack.
Then there was the potluck.
We all whipped up our favorite holiday eats and yuletide treats for a family potluck, a feast even Vinny from the critically acclaimed Jersey Shore would be proud of. From stuffing, turkey, and pumpkin pie, we all waddled back to our desks with a food high!
The fun didn’t stop there!
All 50 of us divided up into 5 pods ( apparently the word “group” is not trendy anymore ) and were responsible as a team, for remixing the classic cold time carol, Jingle Bells. The pod with the best new lyrics would win, and in order to ensure there was no funny business, we flew our judges in from all different departments. The laughs were laughed, the anonymous votes were cast and pod number two triumphantly ended up with the W and a free happy hour with Pat Matthews, SVP of Cloud.
It was the perfect way to end the month and get us fanatically fired up for the next. So far, we are racking and rolling in August!
