Let The Wardrobe Games Begin!

Phil White - Day 1So, ever since this Racker Talent site launched, I’ve been thinking about all of the little cultural pieces that combine to make up our environment.  I can assure you that it’s an eclectic mix of traditions and people that have shaped the Rackspace culture into what it is today.

One of the things I’m grateful for is, over the past four years, Rackspace has done wonders for my wardrobe.  Yes, my wardrobe.  In fact, I’m not entirely sure how many Rackspace T-Shirts I own, but they definitely take up a large portion of my closet!

Contemplating culture and wardrobe – not something I do everyday – I thought it would be fun to see how many days I could go wearing only Rackspace T-Shirts that I had been given over the years.  My guess is somewhere around three to four weeks, but I’m going to do this the good ol’ fashioned way and actually put my fancy duds to the test.

From today until my shirts run out, I will only wear what I’ve collected over the course of my career with Rackspace.  Once I finish, I will throw down the gauntlet and see who can challenge my streak and win the “I Have More Rackspace T-Shirts Than You Do” contest… we’ll work on the name.  We’ll also have a special shirt made for the winners going forward (a prized possession here at the Rack… I assure you).

So, until next time, stay tuned for occasional T-Shirt updates and be sure to spread the word – if you work for Rackspace, your wardrobe will benefit!

  1. After a little over a year at Rackspace, I can probably go about 2 weeks . . . the awesome thing is that Rackers actually wear their shirts every day and all over town–it’s who we are!
