Around the Blacksburg office, you can hear murmur’s of “what will it be today?” being asked.

As week one of the Fanatical® Days of Summer came to a close, Rackers were wondering what else was in store.  Of course, this keeps us stretching for ideas on how we can top the day before and keep ‘em coming.

So here we go with Days 5-9.

Jazzed up Kool-aid that took the appearance of fancy sangria got the week off to a refreshing start!

Rackers got to revisit childhood birthday party memories with a Rackspace version of “pin the tail on the donkey.”  Of course we blindfolded the contestants and gave them a good spin before letting them aim for the target.  Teamwork was in full display as the dizzy participants gave it their all.

Another blast from the past was offered up in the form of sidewalk chalk art.  The office’s upper deck became a blank canvas for everyone to display their artistic side.  The usuals; a hopscotch board and tic-tac-toe could be seen – along with some unusual displays – bricks made into a Tetris screen and steps made out to look like a scene from Super Mario Brothers.

The week wrapped up with Bubbalicious bubble gum popping all over faces and some mind exercising activities.  We all know these Blacksburg Rackers can write code, but can they complete a Mad Libs game?  They took a stab at it, along with Trivial Pursuit questions and Bananagrams!

Ashleigh started her career at Rackspace in 2009.  She is part of the HR team in Blacksburg, working specifically on office management, culture and events.  Ashleigh likes to help and support people, playing up her number one strength – Developer.  She has found her role of making sure Rackers have the environment they need to be the most productive to be both fun and rewarding.

In her spare time, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her awesome family – husband, Matt and children Lucas (3) and Savannah (3 months).  She also loves to visit new places and coaches a high school tennis team.
