Let the SxSW fun begin!

This year our Recruiting group has decided to be a part of SxSW.

Whereas the Rackspace booth would typically be filled with individuals geared toward new client development opportunities, this year we decided to have a number of members from our Recruiting team out to meet the crowd.

It’s become increasingly obvious to us that pockets of talent exist across the country (and world for that matter) in places other than job fairs and job boards. Our next superstar Software Developer may just be wandering around the convention center at SxSW learning about new trends and technologies – we want to meet YOU and make you a Racker!

Over the course of the next few days, our Recruiters will be scouring SxSW for top talent. If you are interested in chatting with a recruiter from our team, this would be a good opportunity to stop by and get acquainted.

SxSW is a fun and interesting event to attend. There is a ton of positive energy on the streets and in the sessions!

In 2010, Michael joined Rackspace Hosting in San Antonio, TX to head up global employment branding initiatives. Since becoming a “Racker,” Michael launched RackerTalent.com and has brought together internal bloggers from five continents to share the authentic culture of the organization.

Michael is a graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in International Relations. He has lived multiple years abroad in both Guatemala and Argentina. In his spare time, Michael enjoys guitar, photography and exploring the social web.
