Last month, our Rackers geared up (in new t-shirts of course) for a fun Friday night of recruiting. We invited a select group of university candidates into our work-home to be a part of our 2011 Racksburg Rush. This was our first rush but definitely not the last!
At 6:00 PM, the event kicked off with various Rackers greeting students and introducing them to others around the room. During our meet & greet hour we enjoyed wonderful local food from Poor Billy’s sushi to Cabo Fish Taco rolls. Students were also given tours of our facility and the chance to challenge some of us to a game of ping pong.
Remember playing operation as a kid? Well, we had that game too! Only our version was a Racker with a fanatiguy heart and other Racker traits. This new edition to our game room was made by our very own Monta Elkins. Check it out in our photos from the event!
After indulging in the array of food options, we all tuned in for various presentations on Rackspace. The topics included who we are, our fanatical support as a company, Racker benefits, and Pat Matthews sharing words of wisdom and advice. The students were completely engaged and the excitement on their faces during each video and speech was priceless.
Speed Interviews wrapped up the night and as we said our goodbyes there was an amazing buzz in the air. Proud Rackers headed out to celebrate the success of the event and students were practically skipping to their cars.
Thank you to everyone who made the night a huge success. It’s amazing to be a part of an organization that’s this fanatical about work!
