Providing Fanatical Support® to our customers is the heart of our entire organization. The term “customer” is used broadly across the company. Customer includes every member of the Racker family from employees to vendors. For recruiters, customer means candidates. Rackspace recruiters are in constant contact with candidates who are vying for an opportunity to become a Racker, and it’s our job to ensure that process is as positive and fanatical as possible!
Last Saturday morning, the Austin Office was the site for our most recent recruiting event, Rackerpalooza: Linux Edition. No, this wasn’t a concert; it was better! Rackerpalooza was an invite-only event giving local Linux geeks the opportunity to see our Austin office, learn more about our culture, and interview all at the same time. Everyone enjoyed breakfast, party music, mingling, and who can forget the free Rackspace party favors!
Pulling off an event like this not only takes candidates, but it takes a lot of volunteers. Our fanatical Rackers rose to the occasion and helped make this event a huge success. With many of our volunteer Rackers coming from the San Antonio location it meant getting up early on a Saturday and being at the Austin office by 8:00 AM; now THAT’s fanatical! A giant thank you to all of our volunteers and candidates for making this the best Rackerpalooza so far! We can’t wait for the next event!
