Slade Cozart is a Linux Systems Administrator at Rackspace, working in the Managed Cloud. His daily commute consists of only a few steps, as Slade supports Rackspace's customers while working remote, far from the sprawling Castle. He started with Rackspace in July 2011, and has since been involved in a concerted effort to find future Rackers, no matter if they work near or far.

Slade grew up in the middle of a cotton field on his family's farm, before moving off to earn a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Angelo State University. Before joining Rackspace, he worked at Angelo State University, supporting their online learning environment and mobile initiatives. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their son, and they are avid fans of six-man football, local dance halls, and photography.
