Rackspace Talent

Born and raised in San Antonio, Rena graduated from Incarnate Word High School and went on to graduate from St. Mary’s University with a Bachelors degree in Sociology. Fulfilling a life-long goal, Rena moved to New York City where she received a Masters degree in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from New York University and worked for a multicultural public relations agency for 3 years.

After moving back to San Antonio in late 2009, Rena was a contractor with Rackspace for a couple months and moved on to do some public affairs work as a consultant for the Air Force, but ultimately couldn’t stay away from Rackspace.

Living outside of San Antonio has given Rena a greater appreciation for its charm and slower pace of living. Rena and her husband Henry are new homeowners and enjoy being parents to their dog Duncan and cat Stella. She looks forward to making a mark on the San Antonio scene with her passion for communications, politics, justice, and culture.
