Rackspace® is on a mission to build the world’s greatest service company, and this passion for customer service led Mark to join Rackspace UK in 2006.

As an Enterprise BDC Manager, Mark was commercially responsible for the largest accounts at Rackspace UK.  Typically these businesses were in the e-commerce, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or Digital Media markets and were largely or wholly dependent on their web sites.  In 2009, Mark was offered an opportunity to return to Australia as Sales Manager for Australia/NZ with the goal of establishing Rackspace locally within the market.  Within the first 12 months, the Australia/NZ business had more than doubled.

Prior to Rackspace, Mark co-founded and successfully on-sold two IT service businesses:

i-Sentral Security - founded in 1995 and sold to eVC Capital in 2001

Techex Communications  - founded in 2002 and sold to destra Corporation in 2004 (ASX:DES)

Mark remained at destra  (which was Australia’s 2nd largest web hosting business) from 2004 to 2006 in the position of Sales & Marketing Director.
