In an awesome city who strives to stay pegged at “10″ on the Weird-O-Meter, we fit right in. Located just 70+ miles north of the mothership (San Antonio), we’re known for our unique style and full-on Rackerness.

Known as one of the Rackspace Innovation Centers, our Austin Rackers are focused on developing incredibly cool, cutting edge technologies for the Cloud and taking care of our awesome customers (you HAVE heard of Fanatical Support, right?). Walk around and you’ll find Rackers who helped create some of the latest Cloud applications, who contribute to OpenStack and who support customers from all sorts of industries.
Austin Rackers are scrappy and know how to take care of business. Organically grown, we’ve developed a “committee culture” – made up of 100% Racker volunteers – to help run the office and keep Rackers happy. These committees are responsible for everything from sending out witty monthly newsletters to planning our sweet office happenings. Oh yah… they even helped plan the logistics of our recent move (nothin’ like that ‘new office’ smell)!
Our open floor plan promotes collaboration and drives our innovative spirit. Taking a stroll through the office, you’re likely to encounter stuffed animal lion mascots, “uniquely” decorated desks, Leg Lamps, Ultimate Street Fighter arcade sets, foosball tables and an on-site gym (for you healthies). Stay a while and join the fun of “Racktoberfest” and “Racksgiving” or suit up for our annual sumo wrestling contest that benefits the Capital Area Food Bank. Austin Rackers love giving back to our beloved city – whether it is taking care of our favorite critters at Austin Pets Alive, our fellow Austinites through building homes with Habitat for Humanity, or “gettin’ our green on” with the City of Austin’s Green Business Leaders program – it’s what we like to call… Rack Gives Back.
Most of all, Rackers take care of each other. We’re one big family. We provide Fanatical Support together, we volunteer together, we work out together, we drink beer together and we’re looking to add more badass folks to our ranks!
